CBP cites national security justification in proposed de minimis changes

U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Friday issued proposed reforms to the de minimis system that would exempt goods subject to Section 201, 301 and 232 tariffs from entering the U.S. duty-free, citing the need to avoid undermining the trade and national security prerogatives of those statutes.
