Chinese business groups warn of retaliation to U.S. 301 action

Chinese trade associations have warned the United States that unilateral trade restrictions stemming from the Section 301 investigation will invite retaliation and be counterproductive to the bilateral trade relationship. “Any unilateral confrontational actions may temporarily result in gain for one party but will lead to retaliatory measures from the other as response,” the China General Chamber of Commerce wrote in comments submitted for the investigation.
