Eyes on Asia: Tai talks framework with South Korea; Taiwan asks to join

U.S. and South Korean officials on Tuesday discussed the Biden administration’s plans to forge a new Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, with South Korea asking for “close consultations” on the new initiative, according to a South Korean government readout.
