Industry, Commerce plead for CHIPS Act funding amid congressional skepticism

As some lawmakers voice skepticism over implementing an “industrial policy,” the Commerce secretary and a coalition of semiconductor, auto, technology and business groups are pressing congressional leaders to fund the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors Act.
