ITC upholds termination of U.S. Steel's trans-shipment claim in 337 case

The U.S. International Trade Commission this week upheld Administrative Law Judge Dee Lord's termination of U.S. Steel's trans-shipment claim that Chinese steel manufacturers misrepresent countries of origin, leaving just one of the company's original three claims active in the Section 337 investigation. In a Nov. 1 notice, the ITC said it would not review the initial determination of the presiding judge, Lord, who last month granted summary determination to all respondents that argued no violation of false designation of origin...
