Senate Foreign Relations Chair Robert Menendez (D-NJ) last week introduced a bill that would establish a “Countering Economic Coercion Task Force” focused on Chinese actions, direct the administration to impose export controls on semiconductor manufacturing equipment bound for China and require a report on the subsidies China’s central government provides to Chinese entities.
