USDA announces large China purchases of corn, soybeans

China has made significant buys of U.S. corn and soybeans this week, according to the Agriculture Department, as Beijing leads a surge in U.S. agriculture exports. According to the department’s Foreign Agricultural Service , China bought 420,000 metric tons of corn this week for delivery during the 2020-2021 marketing year, which began on Sept. 1.
