USTR announces exclusion process for third round of Section 301 tariffs

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has launched a product-exclusion process for Section 301 tariffs levied on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods that were raised to 25 percent earlier this month. “USTR is establishing a process by which U.S. stakeholders can request the exclusion of particular products classified within a covered tariff subheading from the additional duties that went into effect,” the office said in a Federal Register notice released on May 22.
