WTO arbitrator to determine U.S. retaliation in Chinese ag subsidy case

China on Wednesday objected to a U.S. request to retaliate against Beijing in a World Trade Organization dispute over China’s agricultural domestic support. The amount will be determined by an arbitrator. The U.S. earlier this month requested $1.3 billion in retaliation, which likely will come in the form of tariffs on Chinese goods.
