China challenges U.S. credits for EVs at the WTO to ‘safeguard’ its industry

China on Tuesday announced it will initiate a World Trade Organization dispute against U.S. Inflation Reduction Act tax credits for electric vehicles, arguing such measures “distort” global competition and violate WTO rules.
