The Jan. 1, 2010 entry into force of the recently negotiated free trade agreement (FTA) between China and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) is putting pressure on Taiwan to complete its bilateral trade pact with China so that key sectors don't lose Chinese market share to imports from Asian competitors.
