During TIFA talks, U.S. commits to convene working groups, Taiwan pushes for trade deal

U.S. officials on Tuesday expressed a desire for stronger and more consistent engagement with Taiwan, while Taiwanese officials said they hoped the engagement would eventually lead to a free trade agreement, according to readouts of a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement meeting.
