House, citing forced labor, passes bill that would ban goods from Xinjiang

The House on Tuesday passed a bill that would label all goods from China’s Xinjiang province as being made with forced labor and require U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to block those goods from entering the U.S. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act passed the House 406-3 and follows CBP’s decision last week not to issue a withhold-release order covering the entire Xinjiang province.
