ITC opens probe of Section 232, 301 tariffs’ economic impact on U.S. industries

The U.S. International Trade Commission has begun a congressionally mandated look at the economic impact of Section 232 and Section 301 tariffs on U.S. industries, the ITC announced on Thursday. The factfinding probe was called for in the Omnibus Appropriations Act signed into law on March 15. A public hearing to inform the investigation will be held on July 21, according to the ITC’s May 5 notice . A final, public report is due to Congress by March 15, 2023...
